Pranjal Mehta Ph.D., Lab Director
Pranj received his BA from Williams College and his Ph.D. in social-personality psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Before coming to U of O, he completed postdoctoral fellowships at Columbia University and Erasmus University (Rotterdam)/Donders Institute (Nijmegen), the Netherlands. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology.   


Erik L. Knight - Doctoral Student
Erik earned his BS in Psychology and BA in Chemistry from the Ohio State University. Prior to attending UO, he worked for John Cacioppo and Louise Hawkley as a Research Project Manager at the Social Neuroscience Lab at the University of Chicago. He is primarily interested in the biopsychological effects of stability in social hierarchies as well as the biological, physiological, and immunological correlates of status and power.
Ronald Nieva - Masters Student
Ron attended San Jose State University, earning a BS in Psychology.  He worked for several years in and out of research psychology before coming to UO and SPEL.  His interests lie in the fields of stress, positive psychology, and the ability to effect change via mindfulness, as well as the biological consequences of these areas.
